Battery Capacity

Solar energy storage systems use kilowatt-hours (kWh) to measure the full storage and delivery capabilities of Battery Capacity. The capacity rating shows the battery’s ability to deliver electrical energy during a specific time duration. A 10 kWh battery power system theoretically supplies 1 kW of energy for 10 consecutive hours. Batteries with greater capacity enable extended blackout backup periods and increased storage potential for solar energy throughout the night.
